Currently the Attack of the B-Movies team is two of us. I’m Johnny and my Co-Host, chief movie picker and chief blogger is James. Long ago in a galaxy far away (pre 2020) I Johnny, hosted the show by myself. Which was not a lot of fun so I decided to search for a co-host. James responded, he had far more knowledge than I did about B-Movies, which was surprising and impressive. We chatted a bit and hit it off. James was then made the 2nd member of the team and it’s been a blast ever since.

Johnny-

I’ve been a b-movie fan my whole life, At an early age in the early 80s my dad had cable tv and a VCR (for those of you too young to know, that was like a blu-ray player only it used magnetic tapes). What he didn’t have was an understanding of the rating system here in the US. So before I was even a teen I had seen plenty of the low budget slasher, sci-fi and action flicks from the 50’s through the 80’s. In fact to this day Chopping Mall is still one of my favorites. What draws me to the b-movies? Well for one the stories. B-movies will take chances on storylines that fall outside the typical mainstream motion pictures. For me if I want to see something fresh or new, I look to the B-Movies. Also, it’s the passion they put into them. They have low budgets but most times can still have great practical effects and tell a great story!

As for James, I’ll let him tell it in his own words…

James -

I would say I am passionate about B movies because of their creativity and because they aren't made by people who are focused on making money. They're not meant to be taken seriously, which makes them all the more fun. Plus, I can put one on during a lazy afternoon and have a good time.
